Multiple batches of broken bridge aluminum with substandard quality in national random inspections of doors and windows

At the end of 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued an annual quality inspection notice for aluminum alloy profiles used in construction. A special inspection of the quality of bridge cut insulation aluminum profiles will be carried out nationwide, covering 160 production units in 19 provinces including Guangdong, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Hebei, Shandong, and Anhui. A total of 160 batches of products were inspected, and 11 batches were found to be unqualified, with a failure rate of about 6.88%. The main problems are concentrated in the deviation of profile size exceeding the standard, the shear resistance performance of insulation strips not meeting the standard, the heat transfer coefficient of the whole window not meeting the specification requirements, the chemical composition not meeting the standard, and the film layer performance not meeting the standard. Among them, 3 batches of products have unqualified chemical composition, 3 batches of products have unqualified wall thickness size, 2 batches of products have unqualified film layer performance (alkali resistance, local film thickness of anodic oxidation film), and 1 batch The composite performance of the product (longitudinal shear characteristic value [high temperature]) is not qualified.
This spot check found that some enterprises illegally reduced the wall thickness of profiles in order to reduce production costs, failing to meet the minimum standard of 1.8mm, resulting in insufficient structural strength and poor wind pressure resistance of profiles. Long term use is prone to deformation, damage, and other problems; The shear resistance of insulation strips used by some enterprises does not meet the standard, and they are prone to breakage in high temperature environments, which affects the insulation effect and structural stability of doors and windows; Some enterprises also have problems with chemical composition discrepancies, resulting in a decrease in the corrosion resistance and durability of profiles, shortening the service life of doors and windows. In response to the discovery of non-conforming products, the market supervision department immediately took measures to urge e-commerce platforms to remove non-conforming products, order production enterprises to suspend production for rectification, recall non-conforming products, impose administrative penalties on relevant enterprises in accordance with the law, and carry out engineering traceability verification to prevent non-conforming products from entering the construction industry.
In addition, the market supervision department has clearly stated that it will establish a regular spot check mechanism, increase supervision over the production and circulation of bridge insulation aluminum profiles, and conduct on-site inspections and follow-up spot checks on enterprises that fail two consecutive spot checks. The responsible persons of the enterprises will be interviewed, dealt with seriously in accordance with the law, and key supervision will be implemented, and they will be included in the credit blacklist. This nationwide quality inspection not only effectively deterred illegal production activities, but also sounded the alarm for the industry, promoting enterprises to improve their quality awareness, strictly implement national standards, strengthen quality control in the production process, and effectively improve product quality and safety levels.
