Multi department joint rectification and strict inspection of the quality of broken bridge aluminum

In order to regulate the market order of bridge insulation aluminum profiles, ensure the quality of construction projects and the safety of residents' living, the State Administration for Market Regulation, together with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments, has launched a special quality inspection and rectification campaign for bridge insulation aluminum profiles nationwide, covering the entire production, circulation and construction chain, and severely cracking down on various illegal and irregular behaviors. This special rectification action will last for 6 months, focusing on the prominent problems that have long existed in the industry, including substandard insulation strips, insufficient wall thickness of profiles, false labeling of thermal performance parameters, and inconsistent chemical composition. Among them, the chaos of PVC materials impersonating PA66 insulation strips is the key point of rectification.
According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, this special inspection covers 160 production enterprises in 19 provinces across the country, with 160 batches of products sampled. A total of 11 batches of unqualified products were found, mainly focusing on key indicators such as wall thickness, chemical composition, film performance, and composite performance (longitudinal shear characteristic value [high temperature]). Some enterprises illegally use thin-walled profiles and inferior insulation strips to reduce production costs, seriously affecting the energy-saving effect and structural safety of doors and windows. For example, the Chiping District Market Supervision Administration of Liaocheng City once investigated and dealt with the case of Shandong Jiaxin Building Materials Technology Co., Ltd. producing and selling unqualified aluminum alloy building profiles - insulation profiles. The products produced by the company did not meet the GB/T 5237.6-2017 standard after inspection and were fined according to law. The relevant unqualified products were ordered to be taken down and recalled.
In response to the discovery of unqualified enterprises during spot checks, regulatory authorities have taken measures such as ordering rectification, suspending production for rectification, and imposing administrative penalties in accordance with the law. They have publicly released a list of illegal and irregular enterprises and included them in the credit punishment system, implemented joint punishment, and restricted their participation in government procurement, key project bidding, and other activities. At the same time, the supervision of the construction process has also been strengthened. The housing and construction departments in various regions require that the bridge insulation aluminum profiles used in construction projects must provide qualified certificates and performance testing reports, and undergo on-site sampling before entering the site. Any unqualified products must be cleared out of the engineering market. This joint rectification by multiple departments has effectively deterred illegal production and operation activities, purified the market environment, promoted the industry to return to the track of quality competition, and effectively protected the quality of construction projects and the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
